From Curls to Cradles — Why We Rebranded
About 2 min readFormerly known as Official True Beauty, we now have a new name and a new look—but the heart behind the brand has not changed.
Thoughtful family care, purposeful ingredients, clearly explained choices and multi-use products where appropriate.
✂️ Where did the story begin?
In March 2020, just before the world locked down, founder Chayé cut her hair short as a way of starting again.
With shops closed and suitable products difficult to find, she began exploring how hair and skin care could feel simpler and easier to understand.
That experience helped inspire Shea Sweet—our first multi-use blend and the beginning of Official True Beauty.
💛 Why is simplicity so personal?
As a child, Chayé found it difficult to keep still while different products were gathered for her face, hair and skin.
Being diagnosed with autism and ADHD later in life helped her understand why long routines, multiple sensations and unclear instructions had sometimes felt overwhelming.
Her experiences as an eldest sibling and foster carer have continued to shape a brand that recognises that children can experience care differently.
🫧 Why did the name change?
We wanted a name that felt simpler to say, easier to remember and able to grow with families for years to come.
Our Tiny Blends represents:
- little people with big personalities;
- carefully considered family blends;
- small everyday moments that matter;
- clear information without unnecessary overwhelm.
🌿 What remains the same?
- Multi-use care where the formula has approved uses.
- Fragranced and fragrance-free choices.
- Sensory-considered product information.
- Purposeful naturally derived ingredients and selected verified organic oils and butters.
- Clear age, texture, fragrance and usage guidance.
Our aim is not simply to create the shortest ingredient list. Every ingredient should have a purpose that we can explain.
